How does fishing at Brickyard Lakes work?

Fishing tickets at Brickyard Lakes are available on a day-by-day basis. Alternatively, you can pre-pay for the duration of your stay at a discounted rate! Once you’ve made your reservation, our team will be able to provide you with further specifics, details, and information. When it comes to fishing holidays, Yorkshire is your best choice!

What sort of fish can you expect to catch at Brickyard Lakes?

During their visits, our guests have reeled in the following fish:

• Carp (from 1/2lb to 9lb in weight)
• Bream (up to 6lb in weight)
• Tench (up to 5lb in weight)
• Roach (up to 1.5lb in weight)
• Crucians (up to 3lb in weight)
• Rudd (typically 1lb and up in weight)

Please note that all fishing at our lakes is “Catch & Return”!

What are our fishing rules?

In order for everyone to get the best possible fishing experience at Brickyard Lakes, there are a few rules you’ll need to follow:

1. Fishing from 8am till Dusk
2. All nets must be dipped before matches EVERY TIME
3. Keepnets only to be used in Matches
4. Barbless hooks only
5. No cat/dog meat or Plastic Baits
6. No unattended rods
7. Maximum two rods
8. EA rod licence is required
9. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
10. No shouting across the lake
11. No litter
12. Toilet facilities on site must be left clean and tidy
13. No fish to be removed from site
14. No large fish in keepnets, weigh and return to water

Not to worry – as well as our lakes, we are also surrounded by an abundance of beautiful and exciting wildlife for you to enjoy!

“And what of treats for non-fishing folk? Plenty of those are in supply at Brickyard Lakes Country Park too, if you’re the type who likes a serene spot in which to relax and watch the birds, rabbits and other beasties going about their business. Previous guests have spotted more than 20 bird species and seven varieties of dragonfly here, along with glimpses of passing roe deer and weasels – definitely worth packing the binoculars before you set off!”
