Like being outdoors? Then you’ll love your visits to Brickyard Lakes!
Don your hiking boots and get ready for some of the most beautiful walking routes you’ll ever see in the UK! Forge Valley Woods, Roseberry Topping and Osmotherley are just a handful of the favourites recommended by Countryfile that aren’t too far from us here at Brickyard Lakes.
North Yorkshire is home to a great variety of cycling routes. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist looking for a new solo challenge (such as the Etape du Dales route) or you want a nice gentle ride to take in the view with your family (like the Castle Howard & Nunnington Hall route), there’s a trail for everyone in this lovely part of the country.
Any excuse to get on the water is a good one, but being in North Yorkshire is the best of them all for all the water sports and activities you can plunge into! North Yorkshire Water Park is a mere 40 minutes away and offers wakeboarding, paddle boarding, kayaking, open water swimming and more – and that’s just the beginning!
North Yorkshire boasts a wealth of stunning scenery and wildlife that any photographer will itch to capture. Just a few photography hotspots near to Brickyard Lakes include Whitby 199 Steps, Lone Tree and Brimham Rocks.
If you prefer taking pictures of buildings, however, we cannot recommend the beauty of Castle Howard or Fountains Abbey enough!
As we have holiday homes with fishing lakes here at Brickyard – two very large ones, in fact – we can’t imagine that you’ll need to travel further for your fishing exploits – especially as they’re recommended by northyorkmoors.co.uk!
The possibilities for outdoor activities really are endless when you make North Yorkshire your home from home!
