Development has commenced for Brickyard Lakes Country Park!
As proud current owners of Akebar Park, we are thrilled that work on the latest addition to our company has begun at last.
Brickyard Lakes has been a wonderful acquisition for us; it sits in an incredibly beautiful part of the country and blends in perfectly with our company ethos of providing peace and tranquillity in spectacular surroundings. In short, it is the perfect spot for our up-and-coming lakeside view holiday homes!
Below, we’ve answered some of the frequent questions we have received from hopeful visitors to Brickyard Lakes…

What work is currently underway?
As part of the upgrade plan, we will be improving the following areas: lighting, electricity, water and roadways. This means that, when you come to stay, you’ll receive only the highest standards of hospitality and convenience!
Is the park closed – and when will it be open again?
The park is now closed until the 1st March 2019 for essential upgrade works which will be occurring over this winter period. We are aiming to have luxury, lakeside view holiday homes in situ by 1st May 2019, ready to welcome holiday homeowners old and new.
Is there another way we can stay at the park?
We still have some seasonal pitches available for the 2019 season, and you can contact our manager Fiona to book yours on info@brickyardlakes.com if you wish.
What can we expect to see when the park opens?
We imagine we’ll be just as stunned as you upon the park’s reopening!
Surrounded by the breath-taking North Yorkshire moors, you’ll be greeted by a truly peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, buzzing with the very best of the county’s beloved wildlife – and, of course, our selection of lakeside view holiday homes, overlooking our two vast fishing lakes!
What kind of holiday homes will be available for sale?
Once work has been completed, there’ll be a wealth of choice available to you. Our static caravans are second-to-none, offering both flexibility and comfort, whilst our lodges will provide all the space and luxury that you could possibly need during your stay.
